Apple has won a round in its legal battle with rival HTC. A U.S. International Trade Commission judge today ruled in a preliminary decision that Apple has not infringed on four HTC patents. The patents in question cover power management and phone dialing functions. HTC filed the suit in 2010. Today's ruling won't be rendered final until the full commission votes on it in February 2012. HTC had sought to block the import of select Apple products based on the alleged patent infringement. Apple is embroiled in patent litigation around the world, and has recently won several similar victories against Samsung in Australia and Europe.
