either use the stock rom or Cyanogen, which both have stock dialers.
I already had S-OFF on my new/used EVO but I suspected it wasn't good for much and I had no recovery so I went through all the Revolutionary motions and got success on the second try. First time I typed my s/n wrong by adding the extra spaces and characters at the end just like in my battery compartment. Oops. First attempt to open revolutionary at the cmd prompt by just clicking the .exe didn't work so I went through start/run. Then I found out I was being failed for having HTC Sync running so I uninstalled it for the time being. When my beta key failed after 3 tries I realized it was the s/n so I deleted and re-downloaded and I made it around on the second lap. All fine till trying to mount the SD card in recovery mode. It would not mount through the USB for some reason. So I put the card in a reader and after formatting it, put the root file on it. I then left the card out while doing a reset of the whole phone. All is good now and ready for next steps. Thanks to Scuba and all for the guidance. Much appreciation for the Revolutionary crew.
