do you know if sprint will activate your esn?
and i will say this --alot changed in 5.0 there is still alot of unknowns with that os. but ota programming would def be the easiest way to provision it.

yes i activated it but i can't connected to their network so i had them switch it back to my blackberry. i tried OTA programming but i could never get the phone to roam on Sprint

Salfasano, you need to jailbreak the phone before you mess with the filesystem. It's protected, without it. I think this thread assumes your phone is jailbroken already.

it doesnt assume that,it states that at the very start,but you are exactly right the fiesys is locked by default so we must jailbreak to gain access to the root of the phone

Is there any advantages on doing this if i already have cricket on my i phone 4, with redsnow jailbreak? sorry new to the i phone game
