Is there any advantages on doing this if i already have cricket on my i phone 4, with redsnow jailbreak? sorry new to the i phone game

General question: so if you change the carrier settings on a jailbroken phone, then you install an update without jailbreak will the phone revert back to original settings?

it doesnt assume that,it states that at the very start,but you are exactly right the fiesys is locked by default so we must jailbreak to gain access to the root of the phone

to answer your question,yes they will revert,however ut wont matter because your phone ignored them to begin with.
for your other question there is a edit button just below your post,not sure what your trying to edit,but if you dont see it let me know.

@tuan1163- to answer your question,if your phone is already on cricket then that means you already have a cricket .prl in your phone,so it would be pointless unless you have a specific .prl you are wanting on it.

Salfasano, you need to jailbreak the phone before you mess with the filesystem. It's protected, without it. I think this thread assumes your phone is jailbroken already.
