Update on verizon iphone 4 flash to cricket....

I live in Chicago & have been using a fully flashed Cricket EVO for the past 3 months. Everything works perfectly fine on my device & it doesn't roam. People think I'm lying when I tell them about it and are usually very skepticle until they see it with their own eyes.

guys lets stay on point and not hijack this thread anymore,but to quickly answer --

things have changed with cricket alot in the past few months,so roam is not the right word to use anymore,but your phone is using partner coverage (sprint) and since it is partners now it wont show it is roaming.however if you are using it more than 50 % of the time in that market on sprint,the plan is for criccket to send you a letter saying that they are terminating your acct,and you would be better served with another carrier.

the reason being that partner coverage is limited and expensive for cricket,they paid 330 million for the partnership wich allows for use on there towers,but within certain limits. so someone will notice this and it will eventually happen,they have a dept that does nothing except evaluate airtime on accts.

Hey Rich, Why dont we do a proxy work around like we use to do on the androids on the 45$ plan, instead of trying to get solid 60z web ( i know its coming down to custom ipsw and tinypwn is coming ) but i mean for a temp solution?

the solution i have been working on is thru cricket proxy and not straight web(60z) however there are alot of variables,some of which have not been worked out yet.as of right now there is no web solution for this phone.

I have a iphone 4 Flashed to cricket outgoing and incoming calls work and outgoing text... What doesn't work is caller id and incoming text ( non-cricket). I have tried all previously suggestions but non fix the incoming text issue. Any one have any more ideas?

Hey rich, I recently tried this for the text messaging issue and it worked.can you please also try it since you are in another network and let me know.

all I did was put in an extra 1 in front of my iphone cricket number before i texted myself from an att phone. ie i texted 1-222-222-2222 instead of 222-222-2222.

also is there a way around it? so we dont actually have to dial the 1?

i just tried from my personal iphone (tmobile) to cricket iphone and cricket iphone will send but not recieve,also tried from verizon iphone to cricket iphone and the same result,it sends but not rec.
