Default Have a flashed phone? DON'T CALL 800-CRICKET!

Flashed an Evo for a guy on Friday, tested and ready to go when he left. His internet stopped some time Saturday and instead of bring it back by...he called 800 CRICKET.

They told him 1) he didn't need the 60Z plan 2) only Motorola Droids work on Cricket 3) they removed ADR feature code and added WP0 and DAT feature codes.

I did learn something though. You can't have WP0 or DAT on an account with ADR or the data won't work.

ya the Cricket call center reps are pretty useless, they can never do what you ask, even when you specifically tell them "the phone isn't on the switch, can you please refresh the switch". They tell you okay and hang up and nothing is done, the other half of the time you cant understand a word that is coming out of their mouth.

but good info on the WP0 and DAT on a ADR account, i will keep that in mind. thanks

This is why I ALWAYS have a customer read and sign a disclaimer stating that they should NEVER call cricket customer support because they know nothing, and cricket "doesn't support" flashed handsets.

Always inform the customer that if there are any issues they should take it back to the place that originally flashed it.

:^/ Correct. Cricket allows flashed handsets, but does not support them. They can't, after all; the need for training would be endless....

I despise cricket's customer service and their unwillingness to listen to the customer, even if you stamped it on the CSR's forehead it still wouldnt get done. Its like you say something and they didnt even hear you, its like conversing with a talking doll, it just repeats only what it knows to say. I always suggest that you continue dealing with whomever flashed the phone, dont dial *228 and never do a factory data reset plus listen to the customer service reps at your own risk. You would think that getting your account refreshed would be a simple easy task........................ on rare occaision yes but the CSR would be in rare form :-)
