FitBit today announce a range of new wearables, including a new smartwatch and a new fitness tracker specifically for children. The Versa is a smartwatch aimed at the masses thanks to its $200 price point and solid list of features. It includes a color touch screen, accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate monitor, altimeter, light sensor, vibration motor, WiFi, Bluetooth LE, and NFC. These sensors allow the Versa to track 15 different exercise modes, including swimming, assess cardio fitness level, provide personal reminders, track sleep, store and play music, and make mobile payments. Battery life is as good as four days. The Versa is compatible with Android and iOS. FitBit is accepting preorders now and expects the wearable to ship next month. The Ace is a simple movement tracker for kids. It is a wristband that counts steps, lets kids share and compare with family members and friends, participate in step challenges, as well as track sleep. Battery life is as good as five days. The Ace costs $100 and will ship in late May.
