I have windows.
I also have WebOs.
I flashed my phone and now it doesn't work because the Meid thing is at "0" instead of A10000XXXXXXX3.
How do I fix this and put the meid back?
I want to start by saying,REALLY PEOPLE? 219 views right now and NO ONE posted a reply yet?
I'm sure you've found a solution by now,but for completeness,here it is:
Download a recent version of QXDM,I'm not sure on the site's policy for linking to the cracked versions, but google is really helpful here.
once you have that, get the phone connected in diagnostic mode. to get into it,open the keyboard and type "upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart" and an option will come up for diag, turn it on.
then go to the communication option in qxdm and pick the phone from the list.
now open the command box and type
"spc 000000" <use your msl if its a sprint pre,but its six 0s if its a vzw pre
"mode offline-d"
"requestnvitemwrite meid 0xA10000xxxxxxxx" your meid filled in there obviously
"requestnvitemread scm" <if this is anything other than 0x3a,then run
"requestnvitemwrite scm 0x3a"
"mode reset"
then reboot your phone,if all went well,it should be working fine.
if its not,see if the meid has been written successfully in the device info page,if it hasn't,then start over,if it has, then all you need to do is a profile update if you're on sprint,or if on vzw, just call *228 and hit option 1.
I hope this helps.
Oh,BTW,what did you flash that made it go all 0s? This might be extremely helpful for others instead of manually zeroing out the meid.
