I am in need of a lot of detailed help. The phone is the "huawei" Android running os2.1, What mode does the phone have to be in and how do I put it in that mode? Also on the PC I installed Virtual hardware port like this
"installing hw virtual serial port. open hw virtual serial port

under virtual server port tab hit log in.
then a pop window will ask for a password just click okay.
under general. port name com 16 ipaddress is 192.168.16.2 port 11008 and uncheck external nvt commands port but make sure that has 11008

then go to settings make sure all that is checked is log enabled and connect to devices even if virtual com is closed..

go back to vitural server port tab and click connect."

I didnt have a connect button I had a create button. It would get the spot that said "Lan Status: Error" I tried opening CDMA Workshop and it would say "Phone did not answer" on anything I did but it did connect to the HW Virtual port. Any kind of a guide or help on getting the PRL off the "huawei" Android running os2.1 would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi everyone! I've got a little puzzle for you. Verizon BB Storm 9530 flashed to cricket (the phone was already flashed when I bought it online) My home area is San Diego, and roaming was working perfectly (I tried text and data) in Detroit. Once I landed in Toronto, the phone said there was no service.

I assumed the PRL was out of date, so I updated it manually using QPST. 42900 didn't give me any service. 42700 gets the phone to connect to the Bell CDMA network here, but with no service. Text messages come back with errors, and calling any number gets me a message from Bell saying to call a certain number to activate the phone, or to call your carrier if you're not with Bell. I'm on the $45 plan. My guess is that the PRL is working fine, but for some reason, this network doesn't recognize that this phone is registered to Cricket.

Any ideas? Thanks for the help.
    I really appreciate it!

    Thanks Rich,

    I'm confused. What is fon?
Toronto, Ontario is a roaming area only, so I don't think it has an SID. But the closest neighbour is Niagara Falls/Buffalo NY 05361. The only place I could think to put it was the Home SID field in the CDMA service edit screen, though that doesn't make much sense. I tried it anyway, with no change in behaviour. I've set it back to 04729 for San Diego.

    Cheers!
