bro use the same as motorola x just put the phone on pc mode
I have done a few of these Droids and never had this problem. I connect to the HW virtual serial port and then open CDMA WS to that port and carry on.
This time it won't recognize the phone. For the Droid 2, I thought you just held down the T while booting up the phone to get it into Modem mode to be read by cdma ws.
Any suggestions?

So, you don't even have to use the T while turning on? Hmmm. I will give that a try
Back from the dead with a new problem:
I am flashing a D2 and I got it to connect once with HW virtual serial port. I then used CDMA W to change most everything, but I forgot to Re-write the NV items. Now I can't get the darn thing to create a port again. I have rebooted both the phone, and the comp. I have fiddled with the HW-VSP settings and currently have the NVT box unchecked (it never has been). then belowI have the following boxes checked: Log files enabled, Connect to device, even if VSP port is closed, Use ping..., and reset vsp port driver.....
what am I missing?! yaaakkkkkk...I have been at this for hours.......
On a side note, I finished my first full flash for an andriod yesterday, and It feels freaking awesome to have learned so much! thanks again to Gurus for all the info!
the happen to me as well bro i just restar my pc ore try a othere pc
but as u see on the HW virtual just change the to a diffren port
for ex if port 3 will not creat chose port 4 and try and see if it works
make sure u have ur phone on pc mode and debu
Now I am working on 2 differnt phones, each with a similar problem.
Droid 2: would connect to HW virt. port but won't show up in the QPST port list
DROID 3: connected, shows up in QPST as enabled yet when I try to open service programming, It errors out and gives the MSG: Online connection error, unspecified error. then i get this list in HW virt. port
8/24/2011 10:31:04 PM : Virtual port baudrate set 38400 Bd
8/24/2011 10:31:04 PM : Virtual port control options set 8N1
8/24/2011 10:31:04 PM : Virtual port handshake set NONE
and the RX and TX bytes are going crazy like something is communicating or at least trying to.
any ideas on what I have going on? On a bright note I have figured out how to get my APN files to the phones and have been able to do most everything else in CDMA W. I just need QPST to see the Mip settings to make sure everything took.
I have been at this for 9 hrs and I think I will sleep on it for now....Thanks for all the help!
