how do I install this Brightpoint firmware? I root my ally and know how to install roms but how do you install this firmware? This will fix the reverting problem right?

What reverting problem do you speak of? I can assume that this is installed using LGNPST or some other tools that properly identify this phone.

Are you trying to load AS740 to VS740? It will not work They are not compatible.
Only US740 and AS740 are compatible. Verizon is diferent hardware.
