ok i did one with pressing 5 and power now that only worked cause the phone kept going in a loop now it put the phone in download mode that might be a way let me know i don't have one to test it again.

I ddn't know this lgvs740 work that way because is a droid phone.

It does work, first put battery into your phone,then press 5 and plug your cable to your phone.
