Default no cricket for my droid

So I came to a conclusion...cricket will not work right here in florida I would have to buy roaming mins and what not....is there any other service I can flash to? Straight talk? I think metro would be on the same boat as cricket..or what about boost? I have a sprint blackberry 8330 I can use for its settings

    mine says
Nationwide Talk & Text Partner Coverage
its light green....smitty said, "No, Cricket won't cut you off for roaming. You are going to have to pay for that up front. If you flash it, you will get talk and text. The data will be spotty at best. You will have to pay for the monthly service in addition to adding Roaming minutes to your account. In short, it isn't worth it." so im sol on cricket here in gulf breeze, fl i suppose

To flash to boost the legal, but not easy way you'll need to have sprint/boost accept the esn.

...looks like thats not gonna happen..i heard sprint got it locked down when it comes to esns...my droid is on the verizon prepaid smartphone plan so it wont be hard to switch my esn out that way itll be clear...but still even if its clear it will be very hard for them to accept it right?

i think you meant smitty said yes they will cut you off for that. here is the deal with roaming and partner coverage with cricket.
they call it the 50/50 rule it goes like this:

if you have more than 51% of your airtime that is roaming on your acct.in any one month cricket will terminate your acct. for what they call convenience, which is really inconvenience (to you)
sending you a letter saying something like were sorry we think you would be better served by another provider closer to your coverage area or something like that.
so if you are in partner coverage, you might as well save your money.
