Any ideas?
I have an Evo stuck in digital roaming. This was purchased by my client on eBay, it appears it was a bad attempt to flash to Telus. I have tried the following with the following results. PRL reads 000000. and receives roaming message when making a call.
Using CDMA WS 3.6 made all edits needed including PRL with successful write of all.
Read PRL for NAM1 with CDMA WS = Fails. read PRL nam2 = success
In NAM tab PRL = disabled changed to enabled with same affect.
Try to used QPST and received error PRL read error and fails to load from phone.
I believe if I had a QCN of a non-flashed Evo I can get this working. I have til Weds when my client gets back to get it going.
I loaded the sprint PRL for both NAM1 and NAM2, checked in settings system PRL version shown 60664. Then I changed back to desired PRL. Roaming triangle disappeared. This is the viable solution to digital roaming problem.
Whitey if you can hang on til i get back into town sunday i can get you a QCN backup. Hang in there.
Right now the customer has it but if I get a QCN I can get it going. He's patient and has his Hero in the meantime.
