For those who cannot buy CDMA Workshop which for the record is worth the price:
qpst
ActiveSync
metro pcs prl 2004 or newer (can be found here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) )
1. Install QPST found here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
2. Install ActiveSync found here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
3. Install HTC Drivers found here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
4. Install NETCF_3.5_ppc_ce5 ONTO THE PHONE via ActiveSync or MicroSD Card found here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
5. Install BAFMSL ONTO THE PHONE via ActiveSync or MicroSD Card found here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
6. Open GetSPC on the phone, WRITE DOWN THE SPC CODE which is 6 digits
(Note: the spc is never the same with other windows mobile phones)
7. Open Device manager (Right-Click 'My Computer'->Manage->Device Manager->Double Click 'Ports'-> Find your phone and write down/memorize the COM port.)
8. Put the phone in Diag mode by pressing the green phone and dialing ##3424#
(Note: It will just go to Diag mode, no need to press anything else)
9. Open QPST Configuration and connect to your phone
10. Open SERVICE PROGRAMMING
11. Go to the 'Roam' Tab
12. Browse for thet prl you downloaded when you started hopefully
13. Write the prl to the phone, YOU WILL NEED THE SPC CODE.
14. Dial 611 to confirm the prl change. then *228 to activate the phone on your account.
15. Call all of your friends and tell them you're beast.

From where Im sitting the guide is missing. All that appears is the "what you need" part. Not sure what happened, but if anyone can fix it, its our team!
