How to Unlock the LG Rumor Touch - VM510 from Virgin Mobile (possibly others)

I can download it but it's a very small file (147 kb's, I think) and when I try to open it, winzip says it's an unknown format or damaged.

I have tried the pdf viewing to make the phone unresponsive but it seems that the phone loads them all up fine. There is no delay

I found lg download pro 1.6 on vuze... followed all the instructions but when I freeze my phone it searches for drivers and then says that they didn't install correctly and I may have problems using the device. Anyone else have this issue?

You need to use a big pdf I use a 192 mb file it takes for ever to open.

nope, but like I said in an earlier post in this thread, I captured the driver downloaded on my system by the 'LG Mobile Support Tool' utility and posted a filesharing link to it.

...and, in keeping with the theme of this thread, if anyone wants to try dodging the step of installing and using the LG Mobile Support Tool to get the driver, I captured the vm510 driver when it downloaded for installation. here it is:

I suggest installing that driver without the phone plugged in, rebooting your computer and trying LGDownload again. I'm not aware if anyone has tried that driver yet, lemme know if it works for you.
