Back in September, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto joined Apple's Tim Cook on stage to unveil- Super Mario Run — -the first official Mario game for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Two months later, the company has announced that the premium mobile game will finally be available to download-on December 15th. DON'T MISS:- Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon review According to Nintendo, Super Mario Run will be free to download, but this will only give players access to "elements of the game's three modes." In order to fully unlock all three modes, players will have to make a one-time payment of $9.99, at which point they will-be granted unlimited access to the entire game. " Super Mario Run is the first Super Mario Bros. game developed specifically for mobile devices," says Nintendo. "In the game, Mario runs forward on his own, but relies on the tap of a single finger to jump over obstacles, avoid enemies, pull off stylish moves, collect coins and reach the flagpole to complete courses." Super Mario Run will be compatible with any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch-running iOS 8 or above. The game will launch on December 15th in 151 countries and will support-English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian and traditional Chinese language options. Although the game will eventually launch on Android devices as well, Nintendo is only discussing the iOS version of the game at this time.
