If you are illegally breaking into a server or similar it is a crime. period.
If you are taking advantage of a public domain or the likes and the owner has offered it for the public's use there is NO crime.period.

So in short it is a public service they made available to the public for the public to use and there is no legality issue until someone breaks into there server which is not what is happening here so lets stay calm and not throw anyone in any virtual prison until they actually commit a crime
