Twitter today revealed a redesigned mobile app for Android devices. The new user interface, which relies heavily on Google's Material Design, should be simpler to use. The tab bar at the top of the screen has been overhauled so users can move swiftly between home, notifications, and messages. The navigation menu now slides out from the left side, offering access to settings, lists, users profiles, and the Connect tab. Last, the app now makes use of the floating action button to initiate new tweets. The new Twitter for Android is rolling out globally starting today. The app is free to download from the Google Play Store.
