It's been a long time coming, but the Amazon original series from Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May finally has a name: The Grand Tour . The trio made the announcement on Tuesday, nearly a year after Amazon officially picked them up to create a new car show that would compete with Top Gear . DON'T MISS:- iPhone vs. Android: Which phones are more likely to fail? As Amazon explains , the title reflects the fact that the hosts will be traveling all over the world while filming the show, bringing the studio audience with them everywhere they go in a giant tent. In a statement, the three hosts thanked fans for-suggesting names over the past several months, with May even going so far as to say that he wasn't all that enthused with the name they'd landed on. "I wanted to call it 'Nigel', or 'Roger.' We needed a name, and they’re names." Shortly after the reveal, the group updated their Facebook page with the new title . They also published a short video spoofing the names that didn't make the cut. I'm supremely disappointed 'A Small Puddle of Excellence' didn't make the cut: If you want to be a part of the new show, Amazon says that its customers will have a chance to sign up for prize draws this summer to be in the audience when the show starts filming. The Grand Tour still doesn't have a specific release date, but Amazon has reiterated that the show will begin airing at some point this fall. In the meantime, Top Gear -with Matt LeBlanc and Chris Evans will begin airing on BBC2 on May 29th.
