With all the pomp and circumstance surrounding most phone launches, it’s hard to believe that some devices quietly appear out of nowhere. Take the ZTE V7 Max and A910. Both Android phones were quietly launched in China, but they seem worthy of a little more attention when you consider the specs and cost for each phone. The V7 Max-(pictured above) is the higher-end device of the two. It has an all metal unibody and it sports a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved 1080p display, which equates to a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. You’ll get 32GB of onboard storage, but you can add up to a 128GB MicroSD card for extra storage. The 3,000mAh battery is also very generous. On the photography side of things, the V7 Max features a 16-megapixel camera at the rear, while the front-facer is at 8-megapixels. On paper, this phone should take amazing photos since it has Phase Detect Autofocus (PDAF). The V7 Max also includes a fingerprint sensor, but not where you would expect it. Instead of the back or the front of the device, it sits on the right side just below the power button. Lastly, the phone features a USB Type-C port. Pricing starts at 1,799 yuan ($278) for 3GB of RAM, or 1,999 yuan ($309) for 4GB of RAM. While the V7 Max is aimed at the premium market, the A910-(pictured below) is for those who are on a tighter budget, but still want a good quality phone. It comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display, which equates to a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. It’s powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor and comes with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. You can opt for either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, and you always have the option to add additional storage with the MicroSD slot. The 2,540mAh battery is on the conservative side. The rear camera is 13-megapixels and it also sports PDAF. The front-facer is a very generous 8-megapixel.
