Twitter today hit refresh on its home screen experience when visited via mobile browsers. The new Twitter.com homepage makes it easier to follow Tweets and stories without requiring users to log into their account. Twitter says visitors will be able to follow breaking news stories, Tweets about sports games and other events, as well as popular conversations as they unfold in real time. The idea, says Twitter, it to make the service more appealing and easier to use for people who aren't logged in, which may in turn help it attract new users. Twitter says the redesigned homepage experience is available in 23 countries, including the U.S. The company is also expanding the same functionality to its desktop web site to a broader list of countries around the world.
