Alright. Here's how it works. Dial ##3424# to put the phone into DM mode. Provide the attached drivers. Open CDMA Workshop and choose the appropriate port. Press Connect and then Read. Select the Security tab and send the SPC. Select the Memory tab and press the Write button in the NV Items section and select the attached NV items file. Select the Nam tab and press Read. Change the MIN and Dir_Number accordingly. Change the MCC to 310 and the MNC to 00. Change the IMSI to 31000 followed by your MIN and press Write. Select the EVDO tab and press Read. Replace the zeros with your phone number and make sure you change the passwords to vzw. Press write. Select the Other tab and press Write in the PRL section and choose the appropriate PRL. Close CDMA Workshop and open Bitpim. When you get a Phone Detection Failed message box, press Yes. Select Other CDMA Phone as Phone Type and choose the appropriate port. From the menu press View and make sure that View Filesystem has a checkmark next to it. In the left panel, highlight Filesystem. In the middle panel press the + sign to expand the folders. Highlight the DMU folder. In the right panel, right click and select New. Select the 10.key file. Close Bitpim, dial ##3424# and exit out of DM mode. Dial ##778# to get to the EPST menu. Press edit and send the SPC. Delete the HA Shared Secret and the AAA Shared Secret under M.IP Default Profile. The blacked out NAI portion is where your phone number goes. Make sure the M.IP Settings and the M.IP Default Profile match the rest of the settings below. After you've made the appropriate changes, press Menu and select OK to commit the changes. Copy the MMS Fix cab file to your phone or memory card and run it.
Activate your phone and enjoy. If this doesn't work, put the phone back into DM mode, open CDMA Workshop and check the EVDO settings. They may revert to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] after changing the NAI in the EPST settings. Thanks go out to bignadad for the mms fix cab from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and also to drellisdee for the Verizon DMU 10.key from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. By the way, the NV Items file is for CDMA Workshop v.3.2.6. I have yet to upgrade Workshop because this version does all that I need.
