question about stock recovery mode

On a stock droid, I enabled recovery mode (x +power button). When I press the vol. down button (which should allow you to use update.zip feature) nothing happens. Am i missing something? Is there another button im supposed to press or something else I am supposed to do?

Nevermind I figured it out. For those who dont know. To enter recovery mode, Hold the x button and power button at the same time until you see the exclamation point on the screen. One It appears, continue holding down X and power button and press the camera and volume up button to bring the menu up on the screen. You then can use the volume down to navigate through the menu.
