Just a minor point, the A853 Movilnet is a CDMA model just for clarification even though there are many Latin America GSM models.

Wrong! We never got any CDMA Android handsets on Movilnet. Our Milestone A853 is a GSM/UMTS model (850/1900MHz), just like all another A853's :P
There is a Latam CDMA Milestone: the A854, which so far is only available from Iusacell in Mexico (branded as "Motoroi"), but that firmware is nowhere to be available
