Reply With Quotetried this, the root works, but than i tired to install EvilEris3.0 than my screen turns black after the little android skateboarding screen, anyone know why?

HTC Eris ROOT for EVERYONE!!!
For those of you that are wondering why unrevoked3 doesn't work on the Eris
This works for stock 2.1 finally!
Got it form xda-developers. Thanks goes to them!
Click thanks to see the link & download the Files and extract them to a folder named erisroot on your C:\ drive.
then open command prompt and cd to it like this:
cd \erisroot\
then type in the commands provided in the instructions.
be sure to flash the zip file included thru recovery menu after you've entered all the commands.

its just loading. wait...
it takes full 7 mins to load. sometimes longer. do factory reset if it takes too long.

yup just had to wait 7 min, lol when I was looking at the thread and it said wait 7 minute, i assumed that it would show me a boot screen, not a stupid black screen that made the phone look like its dead haha
