    The above article is interesting. I think it is a big victory for those of us who do it for a living. Just thought I would post it and see what people thought...

    First off, they were very specific in the jailbreaking terms that the programs used must not (in itself) violate copyright laws. That means installing something like Swype on an iPhone where it's not been licensed is still illegal. Jailbreaking your phone to unlock it....legal.

    Secondly they extended the ruling on handset reprovisioning. This means that Houdini won't be going away but it also means we can't be put in jail for taking Virgin Mobile or Verizon Pre Pay's and putting them on Cricket. Just remember, they don't mind a single phone, but buying in bulk to do so could still be considered illegal.
