For every Samsung Galaxy S6 or Apple iPhone 6S, products that have made it into customers’ hands, there are bound to be products that got the ax before they even launched. One such product is the Alcatel OneTouch X1, as reported by Mobiletelefon.ru. In terms of pure aesthetics, the OneTouch X1 resembles the offspring of an iPhone 6S and the OnePlus X, with its curved front and rear glass panels and physical home button that rests-under the display.-Unlike with the iPhone 6S, however, the OneTouch X1’s home button does not double as a fingerprint sensor. Elsewhere, a 13-megapixel camera sits around back, while the 5-megapixel camera up front should make selfie lovers happy. Also on the front is a 5-inch, 1,280 x 720 resolution Super AMOLED display.-Finally, 16GB of expandable storage is offered to the user, with Android 5.1.1 the star of the show. All in all, in terms of specifications, the OneTouch X1 is more akin-to this year’s Moto G, even when it comes to price.-The OneTouch X1 would have gone for $216, which is ever so slightly cheaper than the $220 Moto G (2015). We say “would have” because, as of right now, the OneTouch X1 won’t be sold to customers. Alcatel didn’t divulge what the reasons behind the cancellation were, though it’s clear that the company was very close to releasing the-handset before it changed its mind. Even so, there remains the chance that Alcatel will change its mind again down the road, and even if it doesn’t, the company still has the value-packed OneTouch Idol 3 available for purchase.-Regardless, it’s still interesting to-think-about what could have been.
