If its anything like what metroPCS is doing, they are changing the password to access the web from what it was to the current msl code in your device. Im not sure if Cricket is doing the same but we ll see.
All of a sudden it seems like every cricket flashed phones web doesn't work. I called the rep I work with and she said she said she doesn't think we'll be able to use web anymore. Does anyone know whats going on.
Hopeful up and coming flash guru Grateful for all the guidance along the way...

that sucks, i hope we figure out this soon so i dont see any irate customers lol
I lost it this morning, but it appears to working now. Very flaky and slow though.
I'm not having any problems and no reports of outages from customers. I don't think Cricket would risk the amount of customers they would lose if they disabled WAP on CPE phones. Even their new promotions are encouraging people to use NBC phones.
It's a win-win for them. They get new subscriptions which is how Wall Street measures their success, they don't have to subsidize equipment therefore their cost to acquire is lowered, and customers get better phones at better prices.
I don't know about you guys, but in our market, cricket changed their entire system on how they activate phones and where I'm at they are having trouble at times with the new system. This caused quite a few phones to give that "$5 web subscription" error even when the customer had web on their account, but after they get their accounts refreshed and explain to Cricket the error, Cricket seems to be taking care of them.
