I may have to go your route. I'm stuck with not having my device show in com port in device manager. I used the Lg support tool to get the usb and modem driver installed, but they don't work for some odd reason. I've tried the tutorial and I'm guessing that my drivers are not right. I'm not going to be able to use any spc code to re-program my prl without being able to make the initial connection. I know this sounds juvenile, but inexperience and outdated equip is against me.
