HOW TO CHANGE THE BOOT AUDIO ON TO MOTOROLA DROID and others

O.K. this is for the boot audio on the droid.. We have been limited for to long with the stock droid sound @ boot.. This is my solution so and it is not copied or taken from anyone else. so enjoy...

The file I used was the one from the droidx boot animation port on xda, and I have edited it and made it so that it will sound better on the droid as it has limited sound play @ boot...

YOU MUST HAVE ROOT ACCESS TO DO THIS

And all you have to do is open command and

adb push droid.ogg system/media/audio/notifications

and reboot the phone...

Thanx I have been working hard to figure this out ond this is where I am, hopefully I will get it to start when it shows Droid....

Awesome job! Im gonna create my own sound file and load it. Is there a size limitation to how big the file you load can be?

yes there is a size limit, the file I supplied had to be cut down so use it as a size comparison.. the file must be encoded to .ogg format or it will not work...
