Starbucks has expanded the availability of its mobile ordering feature to all 7,400 company-owned stores around the U.S. Starbucks also made the feature available to Android devices for the first time. With Mobile Order & Pay, customers can order and pay for food and drinks from Starbucks on their smartphone. The service supports customizing drinks with special ingredients. The app automatically selects the nearest Starbucks store, though people can select their preferred store if they wish. Mobile ordering has been available in select markets since late last year and has been spreading to more stores slowly. Today's expansion marks the end of the full rollout, nearly three months ahead of schedule. Starbucks says stores that support Mobile Order & Pay have shorter lines, faster service, and more efficient operations. The Starbucks app is free to download from the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store.
