How to fix wap in froyo 2.2

I had that on installed, and just tried the one posted at HF. 3g up arrow almost non stop, no browser or mms in. I think starting over may be the only thing to do. Found another thread where this type of issue had come up, it was solved but not posted publicly.

Used a different autostart and web and apps work. No inbound mms still. Tried ebuddy for my IM but my data connection kept crashing, just quit getting any data on 3g. Any suggestions on the mms?

If you got the 3g icon that is good, now you will have to open the apn settings to get the mms working and the setting on the HF are incorrect in some ways... If you can get web that is good all you have to do is the mms settings and done...

I thought there settings looked funny. I need to use ip instead? Like 10.125.32.4, I know that isn't the right numbers, I did a ping and got the right ones, but is that what I need to change? Wap.mycricket.com to ip?

the apn should be setup like this

<apn name="Verizon" numeric="310004" mcc="310" mnc="004" apn="internet" user="10digitMDN@mycricket.com" server="*" password="cricket" proxy="" port="" mmsproxy="wap.mycricket.com" mmsport="8080" mmsprotocol="null" mmsc="http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms?x-cricket-mdn=10digitMDN" type="mms" />
</apns>

only change the ones pertaining to cricket settings
