Want to downgrade windows 7 to xp.

Ahh, nice one...Didn't know XP couldn't recognize SATA off the bat. That would probably be the BSOD error right there

That must be it. I thought they changed that with sp3 though. I tried running a dual boot install last night and got through the install only to have it error out during boot. Which leaves me with the repair counsel and a non working xp os for choices to boot to.

you sure that it dual booted? Only two options doesn't make sense. It should have at least three options with the Recovery Console (Win 7 being the other option).

Inside the BIOS for the HD settings change it from SATA to IDE to stop getting the BSOD. That way you can do a clean install with XP.

Trying that now OZ. Actually when dual booting xp and 7, 7 wont show under boot options without a third party program going out and finding it on the drive.
