    By bad ESN, they probably mean that it can't be used for the original carrier. It can only be used if flashed to cricket.

    PRL stands for Preferred Roaming List. Its a file in the phone that tells the phone what signal to read from the tower.

    Usually, even if you tried to flash a phone back to oringinal the phone cannot be used because the ESN has been blacklisted.
