Aftermath of a virus

I recently caught a nasty virus that ran rampid thru my pc for a day. I finally was able to get rid of it, except now I can not access the internet thru internet explorer. i then installed firefox and have no problems. however, I would like to correct this problem, seeing how whatever has rendered IE useless, it will not allow CDMA WS to connect to server and open like its supposed to. Any ideas?

Did you ever get it fixed? As for the IE issues it sounds like you need to go into internet options---->connections--->LAN SETTINGS---> disable the proxy address.

Do what leadnerd said, un-check the proxy address settings

i fixed it. I just reset all of the internet settings to default. Thanks for your help.
