Amnesiac child prodigy and secret android Daryl gained a good portion of his considerable proficiency behind the wheel from having watched and played Pole Position on an Atari 800 home computer. Multimedia artist David O'Reilly oversaw the creation of a number of futuristic games for the characters of Spike Jonze's film. It might not have done too well in cinemas, but this comedy-drama about grief and recovery also starred Adam Sandler, alongside Don Cheadle and Liv Tyler, and made use of PlayStation 2 classic, "Shadow of the Colossus," which shared some themes with the film as a whole.
