    I loaded the SECcpu app to the phone...u can either buy it from the android store...or load it via adb commands...

    after u load it...open it up and select Moto Droid Milestone as your device and it automatically configures how much MGHZ is being pushed out and will control the amount of power being pushed out..

    Well I have confirmed that the overclock settings that I was using in the smokedglass rom was causing it.. I reinstalled the rom and selected the default 600mhz clock speed, and then installed setcpu and voila. no boot loops. As best just install a new kernel from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and it should run cooler and faster..
