Effective today July 23, 2014.
Selectel wireless will no longer allow flashed Sprint devices or "unapproved handsets" A quote from an inside source.Effective Today July 23, 2014Effective 7/23/2014*****removed to protect source****** We will no longer be able to flash US Cellular and Sprint phones to our service and we will not be flashing 4G devices for now.
Spot Mobile will be shutting operations down. What it means, they won't do any further activations refills and dealers need pull all advertising.
What does all this mean, in the past year we've seen the small guys like Next G, Prepays, and many others go away, large companies like AT&T buying up the smaller regional carriers.
My predictions for the next 6 months are as follows,
Selectel will get 4g LTE, but will struggle as new MVNO's are introduced.
Cricket will have a large drop in subscribers as they chase their CDMA users away.
All dealers will feel the affects of these changes, the ones with a good business ethic will survive.
What do you all think? Lets hear your predictions?
