Well I don't usually "RESTORE" them that way
When restoring a device I usually run new firmware on it because I do things that can corrupt the firmware but not the NV's. If I were going to do something that could corrupt the NV files like we used to do on the 2200 to change the MEID's I would back up the NV's on that device and save them so I could write them back to the device in the event I screwed something up.
Doing this always worked.
What didn't always work was when I screwed up a 2200 and then pulled the NV's from ANOTHER 2200 and wrote them to the one I screwed up.
Most of the time I would end up with a Brick.
Thats why I started backing them up off the device BEFORE messing with it.
I know DFS includes some standered NV sets you can download from their servers you can try them.
Hope this helps

Sorry I didn't answer your question in the last post
To restore the NV items to a device in DFS
1 - connect to the 4510 status port
2 - on the DFS menus click on NV
3 - on the right side of the screen make sure your in your local folder not their server
4 - then on the upper right side click on Import and select your backup NV Set
5 - Now you will see your Backup NV Set in the LOCAL NV List in DFS
6 - Click your Backup NV Set in the LOCAL NV List in DFS and all the NV's will load into the NV Screen in the middle of DFS
7 - Now click Wright Range at the top of DFS
8 - Pray
9 - Reboot device
10 - See if it works
hope this helps
