    If you talking about the SPL unlocker then yes that will allow you to install custom ROMS, I recommend that you follow the tutorial in the cricket general discussion Following all of the steps will insure a proper flash.
    *Note*
    Alltel HTC's have a tendency to revert some epst setting and that is why I recommend flashing a Sprint ROM after unlocking.

    Okay, this phone is still making me look stupid. lmao.

    It still fails and doesn't even start writing. I tried the hardspl and all that. I have been reading up on this HTC stuff and it seems the more I read the dumber I get.

    Where is it failing. What are you writing to it? Unlocking the SPL? QPST? ROM upgrade? Bootloader? They are really simple once you do one or two.

    when you do the Hard SPL or try to put the rom make sure it is connected to active sync.
