French conglomerate Bouygues Telecom is ready to sell its cell phone antennas and frequencies to competitor Free to smooth its bid to take over Vivendi's SFR, its chief executive said Sunday. Bouygues Telecom is hoping to create a new French telecoms powerhouse with its offer for SFR, valued at 14.5 billion euros ($20.1 billion). But it has a rival suitor in cable operator Numericable, and is also dogged by worries that anti-trust authorities could block the purchase. Both Bouygues Telecom and SFR operate fixed-line, Internet and mobile networks.
