Sony reported its fiscal second-quarter results on Thursday, posting a $196 million loss despite strong smartphone sales. The company said that revenue from its consumer electronics division is slowing faster than expected due in part to declining PC and high-definition television sales, but there may be something of a light at the end of this tunnel.
