Cumulative channel sales of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone have reported reached the 40 million unit mark. Samsung’s mobile boss JK Shin apparently confirmed the impressive feat to Korean-language-inews24.com without providing a regional breakdown or stating exactly when the milestone was hit. The South Korean electronics giant first launched the Galaxy S4 in late April, suggesting it took about six months for Samsung to ship its 40 millionth handset. CNET UK did some quick calculations and the site says it took about 114 days for Galaxy S4 shipments to jump from 20 million units in early July to 40 million.
