Well... I wrote them several times with DFS (non-demo). Then clicked the read button and they were fine. Only after I rebooted phone did I get different reading. Matter of fact the HDR AN had been changed to 28 digits and the HDR AN LONG to some weird 32 digit number resembling something like 3F3F3F3F3F3F3F00000864300000000766. AlpineMan's tut says to put your 32 digit AAA in both of those spaces.

Here's that tut for your reference: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    J

PS - I know logic says that I am doing SOMETHING wrong but I'll be damned if I can figure out what. I followed AlpineMan's tut step by step and word for word. Over and over again.

Only thing I have not messed with is the cave keys.

Sad really... I am trying so hard to learn all this. It is my new self proclaimed new money earner. hehe... Maybe one day even opening a store

Well... here is todays failed saga...

I pulled the AAA passwords and HA off the ----- (incog) again today. Wanted to learn how to do it with QXDM. I had used CDMAWS before. Actually like QXDM much better.

All three were the same. However when I went back into the phone again, the 32 digit AAA had changed AGAIN. Also the little round graphic next to the profile selection radio ticker is blue with a question mark next to it, not green. Also profile 0 and 1 has a 0 next to active users. (DFS)

I changed what needed to be changed, wrote data several times, disconnected from DFS and rebooted.

    Same story, "no connection". (data)

    Thanks,
    John

    Food for thought...

I am wondering if the missing Sim Card could have anything to do with it?

The Note2 (the most important one to get going, my wife's) has an image of a red Sim Card with an X on it at the top when it boots up and when you pull down from the top, it says no Sim Card.

If I select "turn on data" at the top it says, you must insert a Sim Card to receive data.

    Thanks,
    John

[QUOTE=deathtrip;49295]This isn't that difficult. I can't see where you're having so many problems.

You read the NV Items, copy the proper values, paste them to the proper spot.
    Done EXACTLY that.
The HA is going to be the word secret for both profile 0 and profile 1.
    Done.

The Profile 0 AAA is static, it won't change,
My p0 is different every time I reboot and look again.
however the Profile 1 AAA is dynamic, it will change every time you activate the phone on an account.
    My p1 stays the same.

    Hi deathtrip...

I've been at this for 1 1/2 months now.

Looks like I'm going to need some TV help. You had offered before, is that still doable?

I can deal with mine (S3) having issues if I must but my wife actually needs her data going. She needs to be able to use the map and look up phone numbers and addresses and such when she is volunteering for the Special Olympics and taking our son to his S/O events.

Our GPS took a dump. I'll get a new one when I go back to work.

    Thanks,
    John

    Let's slow down here...

On the activated phone, the Incognito?... the Profile 0 AAA changes each time you read it? It should never change, and the Profile 1 AAA won't change ever while the phone is active, but if you deactivate it, then reactivate it, it will change to be the random 6 digit phrase that Sprint's network assigns.

IF the Incognito is having issues when you try to read the data from it, I'd just scrap it, grab a better EVDO Rev:A phone (that can be used with Boost) and activate it, THEN do the steps again to read/write the values. If the Incognito is the issue, stop fxcking with it and throw it away.
