    Default Flashing Motorola's to Cricket

This is being posted per a member's request via PM.

First off, "full flashing" most motorola's to Cricket service simply means you load what is called a "monster file".

    What you will need:

    1) Drivers for the Motorola phone (Found on this forum)
    2) USB cable for the phone
    3) RSD Lite
    4) Your phone's monster file.

    How to:

    1) Install Drivers
    2) Install RSD Lite, if it isn't already installed.
    3) Unzip the monster file to a place on your machine.
    4) Open up RSD Lite
    5) You should see your phone show up there. If not, double check the drivers. Or Manually put the phone in bootloader mode. On Motorolas it is usually * + # and then the power button. This is done with the phone off.
    6) There is a "file explorer box to the left of the start button. Click on that and go to where you have the monster file stored on your machine.
    7) Click on Start. This process takes less than five minutes.

Honestly, it is the easiest flash you can do.

    Hope this helps.

I was trying to load the monster file for a Motorola W385 this evening. The file loaded and showed passed but for some reason it would not work and the test call still went to Verizon instead of Cricket. Maybe I have the wrong file? Anyone have a good one?

Did it show cricket on the home screen, or anywhere. I ask because I had a similar problem 2 days ago with a Razr and the PRL not writing correctly. I ended up using QPST to write the PRL, I had to use 1041 all others either error out or would render no signal. Did the otasp and got 32100.

on the w385 after u flash the DST build it should have a generic prl on it then u flash the cricket upgrade that writes the proper prl if u didnt flasht the DST b4 u flashed the cricket upgrade then that could be ur problem i would also suggest using RSD General to write ur prl or rla
