After some searching this appears to be the issue...the previous owner disabled the data features, but enabling the data in settings tries to update the phone through Sprint and since it's not active that doesn't work.

this phone (and most Sprint Sanyos and Samsungs) use the same WAP method, if programmed manually

Does that include the Sanyo Katana LX?

yes the katana lx is done exactly the same way as the 2700

I got this tutorial for the Sanyo 2700 from M-F...so I'm not taking credit for it...It works for me...i've flashed close to 25 with Talk,Text and working internet succesfully...this settings also works for any Sanyo like Katana's..i hope this work for you guys.

For SPC/MSL : Unicdma...read Memory....Address: 0x03BA228F...Bytes : 6 ...Save and read file with WINHEX.

Open CDMA Workshop...connect...read....Security Tab....SPC send....Change to "000000"....Download Prl...Change Settings under EVDO Tab....close CDMA Workshop.

On the phone dial ##3282 -> USERNAME -> EDIT -> 000000 -> Custom Nai.

Hello all, new to the forum. I don't have this phone but my buddie has it and would like me to flash it to cricket for him. I don't have experience flashing phones, but I do have alot of experience jailbreaking and unlocking Iphones, and rooting many different Android phones like the EVO. That said, if someone could give me a quick rundown of this terminology. I kinda know what CDMA WS is but what is WINHEX? and what do all these ->'s mean?
