Sprint today announced that its LTE 4G network will be available to two of New York City's five boroughs beginning July 30. Residents of The Bronx and Brooklyn will soon be able to access LTE and improved 3G service, but those living in Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island will have to wait until later this year. In addition to partially lighting up LTE in NYC, Sprint said that it has finalized an agreement with Transit Wireless, which will see Sprint service added to all 277 NYC subway stations over time. The first 36 stations, sprinkled around midtown Manhattan, will go live in early 2014, with others to follow. Sprint said it is on pace to provide 200 million people with LTE by the end of 2013.
