Ok i started thinking im currently using a vzw 2200 that i flashed with a gus** is it possible to install different firmware into the mifi to sayy make it perform better on speeds or service? thanks

Sure, but EVDO is EVDO and usually the only thing that can matter is really good signal, good location, and a proper PRL.

As far as I know all of the 2200s are the same aside from firmware differences.
