I probably deserve no credit for anything you read below. But I did write this all up, so give thanks if you deem it appropriate.
Note that you will probably need to install Generic Components for LGNPST.
You will need:
- [li]LGNPST Lab Level 1.1[/li]
[li]the DLL for the LG device you are flashing[/li]
[li]the corresponding generic DLL for the LG device you are flashing[/li]
Right_Click_Register_DLL
[li][Only registered and activated users can see links. ][/li]
Following is a list of LG devices and their corresponding Generic DLLs:
AX265 1.0.12.0
VX8360 1.0.3.0
VX8550 1.0.3.0
VX8560 1.0.3.0 or 1.0.4.0
VX9100 1.0.1.2
VX9200 2.0.24.0
VX9600 1.0.5.0
VX9700 1.0.2.0
VX10000 1.0.6.0
VX11000 2.0.29.0
The Voyager (VX10000) will be used for the following example.
1. When you are installing DLLs for LGNPST, you should first navigate to C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST and ensure there is a Model folder present. If not, create one.
NOTE: You will want to verify you have LGNPST Lab Level 1.1 or higher installed. LGNPST Store Level will not allow you to NV Read and Write in the same manner as Lab Level.
2. Within the Model directory (the path to which is listed above), create another directory for the model of phone you are attempting to flash. For the Voyager, create a directory titled “VX10000”.
3. Install Right_Click_Register_DLL. Installing this file will allow you to right-click and register the proper DLL without having to use the command line.
4. In the folder you just created in the Model directory, paste the DLL of the LG model you are attempting to flash. For the Voyager, paste the LGNPST_VX10000.dll.
5. In the same folder, paste the generic DLL that corresponds with the LG model you are attempting to flash. For the Voyager, paste the LGNPST_GenericModel_Ver_1_0_6_0.dll.
6. Next, right-click the model DLL (not the generic DLL) and select "Register" from the contextual menu. For the Voyager, right-click the LGNPST_VX10000.dll and select Register from the contextual menu.
You do NOT need to right-click to register the GenericModel DLL. If you successfully registered the DLL, you will see the following (or a similar) message: "DllRegisterServer in C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST\Model\VX10000\LGNPST_VX10000.dl l succeeded".
7. Now open LGNPST. If the “Model” section in the upper left shows UNKNOWN, click File from the menu, Select DLL and choose the proper DLL, in this case the VX1000 DLL. Then close LGNPST and relaunch it. Verify the “Model” section displays the correct model name, in this case VX10000 or VX10K.
You should now have successfully registered your DLL for use with LGNPST!!!
